Melissa is an experienced commercial lawyer with particular expertise in the technology sector. She qualified in 2003 as a commercial litigator, and advised on a range of commercial, employment and corporate disputes, before moving to a broader role at Allen & Overy advising on contentious and non-contentious employment benefits, as well as non-contentious aspects of corporate transactions. Melissa also spent 12 months seconded to the Pensions Regulator advising on regulatory and enforcement powers. In 2012 Melissa moved in-house to a technology company, during which she managed all legal affairs including its exit. Most recently, Melissa became the General Counsel and Head of HR Europe for a large USA private equity backed technology company which was successfully exited in 2019.
