Dessislava Dragneva

Dessislava is a consultant solicitor specialising in family law and private client matters, with over fifteen years’ experience advising individuals through some of the most significant moments of their lives. She joined AGL because she was drawn to the firm’s genuine commitment to charitable causes, its strong environmental ethos, and its highly competitive fee structure – as well as the warmth and professionalism of the team.

More about Dessislava

Dessislava’s family law practice covers the full spectrum of matrimonial matters, including divorce and financial remedy proceedings, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, TOLATA claims, and private children law applications. Her private client work encompasses wills, probate (including contested matters), Lasting Powers of Attorney, and trust-related work. She has particular experience advising individuals in complex or sensitive situations, where careful, considered guidance is paramount. Prior to joining AGL, Dessislava worked as a consultant solicitor and in associate roles, building her practice across private client and matrimonial work. She trained in a mixed private client, matrimonial, and litigation environment, before going on to develop her specialism as an independent consultant. Before converting to law, Dessislava achieved a PhD in History of Ideas from University of London where she taught at postgraduate level, bringing an analytical rigour and attention to nuance that informs her legal practice to this day.
