Lindsay Healy

Lindsay founded Aria Grace Law at the end of 2017 and is a corporate lawyer having spent the last 20 years at Norton Rose and latterly at CSC/Xchanging as the general counsel. He has grown Aria Grace Law within 2 years from 2 corporate clients to 100+ corporate clients and over 20 lawyers. Alison Hastie

Partner | Lawyer

Alison is a highly experienced commercial and technology lawyer with 15 years of in-house experience at FTSE 15 companies. In that time Alison has undertaken a wide variety of work including IT and business process outsourcing, business to consumer advice, regulatory issues (including FCA, Ofgem, ICO, Trading Standards and ASA), public sector tendering, business to business sales contracts and litigation management. Alison provides pragmatic solutions to her clients and takes pride in her straightforward approach.

Alyson Jackson

Alyson’s background is mainly in the technology sector and particularly as an in-house lawyer. Working previously at a leading national law firm and key players in telecoms, including BT (where she was the legal lead for the largest global outsource of its kind), she also has experience establishing legal functions in small to medium size firms, not to mention running her own business. Having practised as a solicitor for well over 20 years, her work includes commercial contracts from software development to cloud based services such as SaaS as well as advice in the data industry, covering GDPR, data processing and sharing and marketing. Feedback from clients recognises Alyson as professional and pragmatic with a deep desire to find solutions. Alyson has successfully been providing a virtual in-house legal service since 2005. This has provided a flexible solution for those wanting easy access to their own lawyer but not looking for the commitment of a full-time employee. 

Beata Dunn

Partner | Lawyer

Beata specialises in providing legal advice in several areas of banking and finance including on financial regulation, financial derivatives, prime brokerage, structured finance (including securitisation, project finance and structured finance). She has more than 20 years professional experience and has worked in 4 different cities – Bratislava, Prague, Washington D.C and London. She has advised many financial institutions, wealth managers, funds, firms and corporates (large and small) across many jurisdictions. She is a dual qualified lawyer in England & Wales and in Slovakia and has spent more than 12 years with Baker & McKenzie and Allen & Overy.

Gemma Cullis

Partner | Lawyer

Gemma has over 20 years' experience gained in private practice (including 8 years at Reynolds Porter Chamberlain) and later in-house (Sky, Centrica/British Gas). She is a general commercial lawyer with specialist experience in intellectual property, advertising and marketing law and sponsorship law, having looked after the British Swimming sponsorship for British Gas during an Olympic year. Gemma's strengths lie in seeking pragmatic and commercial solutions to legal problems and in capturing them in concise and clear language.

Jacob Meagher

Jacob is admitted in England & Wales, New Zealand, Australia, and soon Ireland. He is a full TEP member of STEP, Chartered in Banking, Quality and Management, is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Fellow of the International Compliance Association, Certified Governance Practitioner, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, amongst many other professional accreditations. He specialises in contentious matters and helping clients manage risk, often advising boards. An expert in constructive and breach of trust, civil fraud, equitable remedies, offshore structures and trusts, corporate governance and proceeds of crime. He holds security clearance and works with government agencies. His advice is regularly relied on by chambers as an expert witness or advisor. Jacob is also an academic teaching at top universities and has studied at Cambridge, King’s College London, King’s Inns’ Ireland, UCL, LSE, and the Chartered Banker Institute. Often acting pro-bono Jacob is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. 


Jennifer Toettcher

Jennifer is a financial services lawyer, with many years of experience having worked with top law firms Allen & Overy in the UK and Matheson in Ireland as well as in the legal department of a number of leading investment banks and financial organisations such as RBS, Barclays and Virgin Money/Clydesdale Bank. Jennifer specialises in governance, structured finance, financial derivatives, prime brokerage, and capital raising projects. She led the negotiation of all financial contracts for a global investment bank’s new entity in The Netherlands (established for its future EU operations) including clearing house memberships, clearing broker arrangements, trading venue terms, settlement and messaging system membership terms as well as cash and custody account documentation. Structured finance work has included advice to facilitate investment by Cayman and US funds in EU assets ranging from various types of non-performing loans to aircraft and a shopping centre. 

Katharina de Rességuier

Katharina is a German lawyer registered at the bar in Frankfurt am Main/Germany and Dax/ France, with experience in business and contract law, and experience in human resources. She has specialised in digital law and data protection and has graduated in France as data protection officer.

Karin Henson

Karin is a highly experienced and very well-regarded employment lawyer having worked in some of the largest UK firms and has over 20 years experience. Her expertise includes settlement agreements; disciplinary and grievance procedures; employment documentation including terms and conditions of employment, staff handbooks, directors service agreements, and consultancy agreements; employment law training and workshops; restructuring and redundancy; TUPE and outsourcing and tenders; discrimination, unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal claims.

Maria Blazquez

Maria is a financial services lawyer, with over 20 years’ in-house experience having worked in the legal department of a number of leading investment banks and financial organisations, namely BNPP, SMBC, Goldmans, Credit Suisse, Barclays and Commerzbank (formerly Dresdner Kleinwort). With experience in a wide range of areas, Maria specialises in capital markets, debt issuance and capital raising projects, providing legal and transaction execution support. Maria is a bi-lingual Spanish Abogado with exposure to many jurisdictions having been involved in cross-border projects working alongside sovereigns, supra-nationals, corporates and emerging market borrowers. Maria has developed expertise in ESG debt products and in 2007 oversaw the issuance of the first green bond, the EIB Climate Awareness Bond.

Melissa Mape

Melissa is an experienced commercial lawyer with particular expertise in the technology sector. She qualified in 2003 as a commercial litigator, and advised on a range of commercial, employment and corporate disputes, before moving to a broader role at Allen & Overy advising on contentious and non-contentious employment benefits, as well as non-contentious aspects of corporate transactions. Melissa also spent 12 months seconded to the Pensions Regulator advising on regulatory and enforcement powers. In 2012 Melissa moved in-house to a technology company, during which she managed all legal affairs including its exit. Most recently, Melissa became the General Counsel and Head of HR Europe for a large USA private equity backed technology company which was successfully exited in 2019.

Michael Mulholland

Michael is a highly experienced lawyer with over 15 years experience specialising in data protection law with experience of working across blue chip companies in diverse sectors including financial services, insurance, energy, medical and defence industries. His expertise lies in advising on data protection related topics including regulatory compliance, governance, policy drafting, establishing governance frameworks and BAU advice.

Mike Thornton

Partner | Lawyer

Mike has over 20 years banking and finance legal experience. Initially Mike worked for the sell side (JPMorgan, Citigroup and Credit Suisse) specialising in OTC Derivatives. Mike then spent 10 years advising the Buy Side (BMO F&C, Insight Investment and First State Investments) on trading documentation, regulatory reform and governance. Mike has designed trading platforms, procured IT, and built and led in house teams. Mike also has diverse experience managing business processes in the asset management sector including client on boarding, AML, KYC, sanctions and operational risk. Mike has implemented regulatory reform such as EMIR, MiFID, GDPR, Brexit and Dodd Frank in addition to conducting business process reviews and effecting organisational change to help fund managers operate and invest more efficiently.


Monica Regli

Monica trained and qualified as a banking lawyer at Allen & Overy. After 6 years at Allen & Overy, Monica left to join the film finance team at Olswang which involved working as both a commercial and finance lawyer. Monica subsequently moved to an in-house position to work as the senior lawyer for Scion Investment Group where she handled a wide range of corporate matters including finance, employment and tax.

Niamh Christina Gleeson

Niamh is a highly experienced competition lawyer with over 20 years' experience in competition law specialising in the TMT sector. She has great private practice and in-house experience, having worked at Slaughter & May and Bird & Bird, followed by over 10 years as an in-house competition and regulatory lawyer for major corporations: Apple, British Telecom and Three Mobile. She has a doctorate in competition law from King’s College London and she teaches cloud computing law for LLM students.

Nick Bent

Nick is a highly experienced corporate, commercial and technology lawyer with over 20 years’ experience within private practice and in-house (including at Dewey Lebouef, Practical Law and Lexis Nexis). Nick is a dual qualified lawyer in England & Wales and South Africa, has significant international experience across the UK, Europe, US and other jurisdictions, and has an MBA degree in addition to his legal qualifications.

Nick Gould

For most of his years as a lawyer, Nick has been involved in a wide range of corporate/transactional and advisory work and has become known as a deal-doing, common-sense business lawyer. He has advised companies from UK start-ups to multinational trading groups. Nick's clients (companies, partnerships and individuals) have been involved in areas as diverse as media, fashion, sports, telecoms, shipping and energy. Nick also assists in resolving shareholder disputes. Most recently, Nick was a founder member and then for 4 years chairman of SME Alliance. This high-profile support organisation helped owners of SMEs and other victims of bank fraud, lobbying on their behalf. He has represented several of those fraud victims. Nick also writes and lectures on legal issues - from the creation of start-ups to directors' duties and corporate governance.


Parminder Bains

Parminder is a financial services lawyer with over 28 years professional experience working on a broad range of derivatives ranging from hedging for structured financing  to hedges for pension mortality risk, he has also advised on regulatory issues such as the mis-selling of derivatives to SME’s and the transition to Risk Free Rates. He has worked for legal departments of investment banks such as Credit Suisse, HSBC, Barclays and RBS. Parminder is entrepreneurial and has created a number of start-up businesses and enjoys finding solutions to problems. Parminder is an English qualified lawyer.


Puja Modha

Puja is a commercial lawyer and compliance officer with over 8 years experience during which she has worked at Citigroup, Société Générale, MUFG Securities plc and Smart Pension. Her expertise lies in developing compliance programs on data protection, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption and anti-slavery and human trafficking. She has experience in conducting risk assessments, building governance frameworks, drafting policies and procedures, reviewing contractual relationships, preparing and delivering training as well as engaging with auditors and regulators (such as the Financial Conduct Authority, National Crime Agency and Crown Prosecution Service).


Richard Lee

Richard is a lawyer with 10 years' experience in the legal sector having worked in the city in a variety of corporate finance roles for leading international firms including White & Case and KL Gates, and also as an in-house lawyer and consultant for a range of high-growth technology companies and early stage start-ups. Richard is passionate about helping small businesses get a better deal from professional services and has spent the last 4 years providing legal consultancy services to start-ups and has also developed a range of digital products to help small businesses manage their increasingly complex compliance obligations ( for start-ups and for larger companies).

Rob Morton

Rob is a lawyer, coming from a major city law firm, and has over 20 years  experience. He specialises in all aspects of non-contentious commercial property matters, working with a wide range of clients, and having advised major UK retailers, restaurants and business/industrial park owners and public bodies. He has particular expertise in landlord and tenant (including leases, licences, re-gearing and variations, security of tenure, and end of term liabilities); buildings and portfolio management; commercialisation of real estate; land and estates management; major projects; operational risk management and developing and implementing operational processes, protocols and training.


Rowan Middleton-Leal

Rowan is a commercial transactional lawyer, with over 15 years' experience, both in private practice and in-house. Rowan was the General Counsel for an international charity, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and was responsible for setting-up and running its legal department. Prior to working at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Rowan was a senior manager in Accenture in their financial services legal team, as well as being part of their "market making team" which deals with the most innovative, complex and high value transactions. Rowan has also worked for Herbert Smith in their IP/IT legal team, and (what was) Lloyds TSB as an IT lawyer.

Her experience includes working for companies such as Barclays Capital, UBS, Natwest (formerly RBS), Investec, MUFG Securities plc, Crowell & Moring and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She has progressed from being a Legal Analyst to a Legal Negotiator and has developed an expertise in drafting policies and procedures and forming engagement models which utilise technology, streamline communications and add real-value to organisations.

Yvonne Lazarowicz

Yvonne is a highly experienced corporate and commercial contracts lawyer, with a demonstrable history of working in the legal services industry internationally, both in-house and in private practice (including at Clifford Chance, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and Bowman Gilfillan) for over 15 years. She has also worked as a senior lecturer at the College of Law, London. Yvonne has a pragmatic, client-focused approach to commercial, corporate and data protection law, and works closely with clients to fully understand their commercial and legal needs.

With 25+ years specialist experience, he has held senior and executive level positions at a number of international banks and financial services companies, passionately driving global compliance and financial crime programmes. Building on a culture of consensus, he has worked to deliver solutions that ensures firms meet their regulatory obligations and compliance is embedded without compromise. Brendan is a regular on the speaker circuit, a contributing author to industry publications, a Member of the Institute of Directors, the CISI, the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants and a Fellow of the International Compliance Association. More recently, Brendan graduated with a Masters in International Business Law from the University of Liverpool.

Richard Barber

Richard is a passionate consumer / data / data protection champion with 20 years experience helping consumers get a better deal. Although he is not a lawyer, he has spent 10 years working as Martin Lewis' Commercial Head at which means he has a deep understanding of consumer rights, but also the commercial realities of running a business. He was the former Data Protection Officer at Smart Pension and passed his CIPP/E & CIPP/M exams whilst dealing with a multitude of complex privacy issues. He also has a real awareness and appreciation for technology and how to utilise the OneTrust solution to ensure data privacy compliance.

Roger A. Oldham

During his career in the insurance sector, Roger has held a number of senior positions, leading technical, claims, operations and change functions, both in the UK and globally. Roger is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and of the Institute of Leadership & Management and a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Sharif Hamid

Sharif has over 20 years’ experience delivering risk and compliance large scale remediation and transformation programmes (e.g. HSBC, RBS, Barclays, Lloyds, Visa, GE) across the UK, US, Europe Far East and the Middle East having worked in each region. Such programmes included FCA S166 remediation, anti-money laundering (AML), global financial crime risk models and reporting, KYC international customer due diligence standards and profiles for tier one banks, and strategies for end-to-end traceability of global regulatory obligations such as MiFID2, Brexit, Volcker, CoI, GDPR, Ring Fencing and PSD2 to risks and controls for 240k colleagues in HSBC’s 64 countries. During his career he has developed regular relationships with regulatory bodies such as the FCA, PRA, OCC, OFAC, DFSA, HKMA, MAS, OSFI, AUSTRAC and BaFin.
