With over 25 years' experience practising in the IT, banking, fashion, design and digital industries, he was and is focused on transactions, litigation, negotiation and mediation. Pierfrancesco also has strong and longstanding experience in labour and employment, namely directors and officers, financial advisors, agents and distributors, in intellectual property, namely trade secrets, passing off, domain names, trademarks, geographical indications, patents, designs and art, advertising, and in outward and inward foreign direct investments, namely in Italy and India. As seasoned avvocato, he is appointed by Italian and European institutions as Arbitrator and International qualified Mediator in commercial disputes, as well as Senior Expert for European Commission's comparative studies and other International institution's legal guides.


Pierfrancesco often finds himself advising on cost-benefit analysis and strategy in complex, multidisciplinary and challenging cases and projects at intersection between intellectual property and digital, labour and finance, domestic and European Union laws, advising individuals, start-ups and global businesses.


Pierfrancesco especially likes his work to be Italian, European and international and has spent a number of years in advising investment projects in Emerging jurisdictions and in Italy, and on compliance with European Union law and European Court of Justice cases.

  • Counselling an Italian fashion designer on negotiating director employment agreement, including related ancillary stock option documents, with a European leading Group managed by an international investment fund.

  • Advising a minority shareholder of IT company on shares value dispute settled by a fast, cost-effective, successful mediation proceeding, avoiding an expensive arbitration.

  • Guiding a European leading distributor on acquisition of wine and spirits trademarks and related trade secrets, resolving the impasse on value of assets thanks to an opinion drafted by a well-known expert.

  • Arbitrating an Intellectual Property dispute between Japanese licensor and Italian licensee on the use of trademark as domain name.

  • Litigating worldwide for sport apparels manufacturer to clean and take down fake websites, using ADR and judicial methods.

  • Litigating for Italian drone training qualified company as franchisee against the franchisor on fees, misleading use of images, missing advertising.
